Alex Kral - signed on loan
Sounds like this is done.

At least some midfield competition.

Thought he struggled tbh but not exactly an easy debut especially when he’s come into a disjointed side that hadn’t played together and coming from a league that is nothing like our level.

Re: Alex Kral - signed on loan
Looked to me like he might need to add a bit of ballast to hold his own physically, but clearly not lack of effort, attitude or ability. Will be a good signing based on that outing.

Looked neat and tidy, not the quickest tho, decent first outing and has European football experience, which is a plus!

Looks like a good solid water carrier with lots of potential to improve. I'm so pleased to have some solid players in midfield...to think we went all those seasons without addressing the issue properly. Also Obiang was sold only to bring in Carlos Sanchez.

Sideshow really worked hard pressing and already showing he will be an asset to the squad. Nothing spectacular and will not have the goal threat of Soucek but based on last night it looks like Rice and Soucek and him can be rotated to spread the work load.

Sideshow bob was quality. Just as well, as I'm convinced he's Rice's replacement.

Noble was excellent as was Bowen

Re: Alex Kral - signed on loan
The pace of the game caught him out at first but he grew into it.

Made some great blocks/tackles in the second half.

Sure he will get better as time goes on just needs more game time.

I thought Nobes had a good game
Sure he is no gazelle but never has been
So with his inherent limitation, covered, blocked and screened well
Broke at the death too, could, should have scored having run half the length of the pitch

Nobel was fine, won the ball and gave it to a team mate.
Yes he's slow but played 90mins in central midfield in a 1-0 win at man u
Unfortunately certain retarded posters on here would call him shit what ever he does.

His touch was questionable at times but I thought both he and Noble played very well.

nobel just have been absolute dogshit, if you think kral was very poor

Re: Alex Kral - signed on loan
I though he was our best midfielder. Didn't look at all leggy or gave away many (if any) stupid free kicks in dangerous positions.

Re: Alex Kral - signed on loan
Interesting what different people see
I thought he started very poor, off the pace, poor positionally and allowing their players to run by him
But this is not a Nordviet situation - he notably improved as the game progressed
It will take time to adjust but on balance that was a promising debut under difficult circumstances

Thought he looked better last night than he has when I've seen him playing for his national side. Hopefully he can get some game time, get used to the pace of English football and keep improving.

Re: Alex Kral - signed on loan
Looks a decent player. Promising back up and a much better reserve option to Rice and Soucek than past it Noble.

Got better as the game went on, def a good prospect

Re: Alex Kral - signed on loan
Reminded me of soucek on his debut. Lots of running, not scared to get on the ball and didn’t panic. His passing wasn’t great but then he was trying to get it to Yarmolenko, Arthur, lanzini or an up top bowen whikstnalso covering for noble, whilst soucek normally has obvious out balls to bowen out wide, Antonio up top, fornals and benrahma

I thought he looked solid and composed in what was, at times, a very hectic game

Re: Alex Kral - signed on loan
That was a very good first game for him. Some people need to calm their expectations a little.

Not easy to come straight into a side playing away at Man Utd against their midfield. But he more than held his own. Sure, he kept the ball for too long on the odd occasion - but he's coming from a league that isn't as quick and where you can get away with that a little more often.

He'll learn - in fact, he seemed to remind himself of that during last night's game.

Here's hoping he's just like our two other Czechs and feels happy here and finds consistency. He's certainly got the talent.

Re: Alex Kral - signed on loan
I've followed him for a while, saw him play live a few times when he was at Teplice and Slavia over here.

He's a very good player with a high ceiling, but I think it'll take time, but it fortunately appears he has time to get used to the speed and what Moyes expects of him. He did quite well last night I thought, especially towards the end of the game.
